In 1996 he started working with hydraulic modelling of the distribution network in the water supply in Aalborg, and in the same time worked with planning of the rehabilitation of the distribution network. Since he started to work at Aarhus Water, he has been in charge of planning and implementation of DMA’s in the distribution network, handling the hydraulic models in Aquis and responsible for rehabilitation planning of the drinking water distribution network. As Program Manager for design of the future supply structure, he is responsible for making the strategic changes in rebuilding the infrastructure for supply of drinking water in Aarhus Water, where improvement of performance and preserving the best drinking water quality is an important issue.
Since 2014 he has been participating in the development of the DK-Vand certification scheme for material in contact with drinking water. The DK-Vand scheme is established by the Danish water supply organizations (DANVA and Danske Vandværker) and plastic pipe suppliers (NPG Danmark) in cooperation with Danish Technological Institute. The certification is carried out by Dancert and DHI Environment and Toxicology as a toxicological adviser.
