Mieke Bak Rasmussen holds a M.Sc. degree in Energy planning, and has been working with Danish energy policy and planning tools over the last 13 years.
She has been employed in the Danish Transmission Operator Energinet for many years, where her main focus was on regulatory affairs and stakeholder management. Among other things she worked with:
- Regulation and framework for the planning and buildout of transmission infrastructure to support the electrification
- Regulation and stakeholder management for future international energy islands/hubs
- Integration of major electricity consuming data centers in the Danish energy system
Before this she was employed in the Danish Construction Association. Here she handled the responsibility for developing and promoting policy initiatives to strengthen energy efficiency in buildings. Her main focus was subsidy schemes.
Mieke was appointed in the Danish Energy Agency in 2018, where she currently is the coordinator of the Energy Partnership Programme between South Africa and Denmark.
